HOUSTON AREA PEDIATRIC ACUTE CARE FACILITY HIRING ASAP!!!

ALL POSITIONS ARE CONTRACT OR CONTRACT-TO-PERM

DAY & NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Pediatric Nurses needed in the following Units with requirements:

ER:
1 Year Pedi Exp
1 Year ER Exp
BLS, PALS required
TNCC preferred
Trauma 1
Avg. 250 patients a day, plus 300-350 in winter months
Strong IV skills
Straight catheters
Must be comfortable with Ped assessments
Teaching facility
Ratio is 3-4:1

MED/SURG:
BLS, PALS required for Charge RN only
Pediatric experience
2 years minimum experience
Gen Med Transplant-, Gen PD-Liver, Renal & GT
Solid Organ- Pre/Post Care
36 beds

PICU:
1:2-3 ratio
BLS, PALS
2 Years Pediatric experience
2 Years PICU Experience

HEM/ONC:
Chemo/Bio Certified preferred
BLS not required, PALS preferred
3-4:1 Accuity
3-5 yrs HEM/ONC experience
2 yrs travel experience
Strong IV Skills desired, Inpatient experience, Infusions/Transfusions
Computerized Skills
Inpatient and Outpatient opportunity

NURSE PRACTITIONER:
BLS and NRP required
2 years pediatric clinical experience
Master of Science in Nursing
Current, valid, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state of Texas
Current certification – initial certification and maintenance of certification by national certifying bodies recognized by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
Full authorization to practice by the Board of Nurse Examiners in the acute care specialty role
A minimum of 2 years experience in the applied specialty
AHA/AAP hospital-based instructor for Neonatal Resuscitation Program required

LABOR & DELIVERY:
BLS & NRP required, ACLS preferred
Fetal Heart Monitoring (A1 Inter FM Course) Required
C-Section Experience
Circulate Required
IV starts, Amnio Infusions, multiples, Fast Paced, High Risk
Triage Experience
PACU Experience
5 yrs Min L&D Exp
2 Yrs Min travel Exp

PRCU:
2 Years PRCU Exp
BLS, PALS
2 Years Pediatric experience
CPN, CCRN req
Unit does take trach patients on vents
Unit treats acute and chronic illnesses
Unit is noted for mgmt of patients with tracheostomies and the negative pressure ventilator (iron lung)

Education, training, experience:

-TEXAS LICENSE OR COMPACT LICENSE
-2 YEARS MINIMUM PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE
